Hello from the Philippines! It’s way past due for a blog so here is what has happened in the past few weeks with ministry and life updates.

We are settled in Cainta with YMC (Yunjin Ministry Center) which is a kids centered ministry. They have a couple of homes for the children that some of my squad is volunteering at, but my team is with the local Christian school. Me and Maddie are helping out the teachers with math, English, and P.E in the elementary, and it’s been a blast getting to create relationships with these kids. Sometimes when a kid asks me what I’m doing here and I tell them “to share Jesus’ love” they scream with excitement and clap there hands, and it’s absolutely thrilling every time it happens. The name of Jesus is familiar in this place, and it’s different from Vietnam where we had to be very careful what we said around people in fear of being watched or caught by the government.

Ok now on to my life. What has Jesus been doing you ask? He continues to be so loving and SO good. And when I spend time with Him with expectancy He always reveals the craziest things even if it’s something I’ve heard before. It’s actually insane that we can’t comprehend the fullness of God even if we tried, but He still chooses to reveal things about Himself. Also what else is insane is that we don’t deserve anything but He forgives us, loves us, and communes with us. I dwell on that every single day and I never will understand that. BUT that’s okay because I don’t need to know everything when my Lord already knows.

I get to see my parents in 3 weeks (I’m SO excited) and we are partnering with a ministry called Wipe Every Tear. Hopefully I’ll blog one more time before then so I don’t leave y’all hangin again. I’ll also post photos and videos on instagram and facebook so then you can see the beauty of the Philippines.
